In 2015 a number of community-focused groups got together and formed the Phillipstown Community Hub on the site of the closed former Phillipstown Primary School, in east Christchurch. The Hub has grown and developed year on year, we now have over 1,000 people every week coming to join in the many and diverse activities at any of the 57 different groups holding 83 weekly activities here. We keep our room hire costs extremely low (often no charge) to maximise accessibility and inclusiveness.
Unity in diversity is very much alive here. Refugees, migrants, Maori, Pasifika, Asian and European. Ages ranges from babies all the way through to elderly. Activities look after mind, body and soul with physical activity, music, arts, crafts, languages, social groups, support groups, culture groups, church groups, even bike building. For giving back to community our thriving and beautiful vegetable gardens with heritage fruit trees and even occasionally hens wandering around.

[us_testimonial author=”Dave Reid ” company=”Nelson”]I was impressed with the quality of the timber and the clever way it all goes together, having now put two of these sheds together, I am happy to recommend them. They look great & are excellent value for money”[/us_testimonial]
[us_testimonial author=”Builder ” company=”Brad Smart”]”I found the shed straight forward and easy to assemble and was impressed with the quality of the timber. The cuts were good and everything slotted together nicely. It looked great when it was finished. I would own one.”[/us_testimonial]
