SheShedz kits range from compact studio sizes up to full granny-flat-scale builds, so it’s less one product than a category — and it’s the one we’re named after.

Yes, typically. A flat-pack cabin removes most of the labour and design cost of a custom build. We supply the engineered kit, so most customers save on the build itself, not just the shell.
It depends on size, height and use. Most small non-habitable structures (studios, home offices) fall under Class 10a and often don’t need a full DA — but anything used as a habitable structure would classify as Class 1a and does. Our kits are designed for easy DIY, but some customers choose to use a builder. If you’d rather not build it yourself, we have a network of installers who can quote on full assembly. You can request our builder here.
Most kits ship within 5 days of final payment, with assembly typically taking a weekend or two, depending on size and whether you’re building it yourself or using a installer.
There are several good Australian builders — the right one depends on what you’re building (habitable vs non-habitable), your budget, and whether you want DIY or fully installed. SheShed specialises in European designed, nordic spruce timber, flatpack cabins, trusted for over 10+ years.
